MLB Winding Down to Playoffs & NFL Builds Up to Week 3

As the Hunt for October continues in Major League Baseball, the Minnesota Twins are the only team so far to win their division.  With that being, the race for the best record in the American League is on between the Twins and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays with both teams sitting at a recordof 92-61.   The New York Yankees are a half a game behind both teams with a record of 92-62.  It is very close in all the divisions at the moment in both leagues so follow closely to see who makes in the playoffs as October fastly approaches us.

Are You Ready For Some Footbaaaalllll !!!!!!!!??????
Week three of the NFL will start Sunday morning 11 MST with 8 of the thirty-two teams still unbeaten.  Four of those eight teams will be matching up against one another and the first match-up the comes to mind with that being said has to be the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Tampa Bay Bucs.  The Steelers will be playing with their 3rd string Quarterback this week as Dennis Dixon went down last week forcing Charlie Batch having to step up and be the starter.  So that game should be very interesting, along with a Monday Night Rivalry with Green Bay Packers traveling to Chicago to face the Bears where rain is in the forecast for this battle of the unbeatens.  The other four unbeaten teams are the Kansas City Chiefs (which have been Amazing lately), Houston Texans, Miami Dolphins, and the Defending Champion New Orleans Saints.  Continue to watch and follow and I'll see you back here in the endzone soon.

The NFL begins it season this Thursday night

In Dealing with Athletics tonight with Marvin, opening night of the National Football League will be discussed.
With the preseason all wrapped up and teams begin for the season to start, many players have been cut and it's time to rock and roll.  Game one of the season is the 2010 NFC Championship Game match up of last season and once again the Super Bowl Defending Champion Saints have home field advantage over the Vikings.  During that NFC Championship Game last season the Saints intercepted a Favre pass to close the game off and head to the Super Bowl.  Brett Favre is back for his 20th season in the league and is hungry for a Super Bowl ring so he can finally retire.  At this moment it is approaching 9: 25 MST and the two minute warning is fastly approaching with the Saints leading 14-9.  All they need to do is hold on to the ball and start the season off with a win. Tune in to the next blog for the results and the rest of Week 1 scores around the league.
